Kopplin Direct

Done-for-you direct mail for DTC brands

Your best email.
In the mailbox.
Actually seen.

Three out of four buyers never open your promos. I turn the email that already sells into a postcard and mail it to them: list cleanup, design, printing, postage and tracking, all handled.

No contracts. A 10-minute call with your own numbers, then you decide.

Got a big envelope with your own email inside? That was me. The postcard version of that email is what I'd mail to your buyers. Here's how it works.

The math

Email gets skimmed. A postcard gets handled.

25%

A typical promo email open rate, at best. Most of your list never sees the offer.

100%

A postcard has no envelope to open. It lands in their hand.

$600–800

Roughly what it costs to print and mail 1,000 postcards.

Break-even: response rate ( orders) covers the mailing.

Estimates from the numbers you enter, not a promise of results. Your actual response rate is what a test mailing finds out.

How it works

Four steps. I handle all of them.

  1. Clean the list

Your buyer file goes through National Change of Address (NCOA) so every card hits a current address.

  2. Build the card

Designed from the email that already converts: product photo, short copy, your offer, a trackable QR code.

  3. Mail 1,000–5,000

First class, timed to land early in the week. About half the response comes in week one.

  4. Measure & repeat

Every scan and sale tracked. Split test, keep what wins, mail it again.

Your part: send a customer CSV and pick the email. That's it. You approve the card before anything prints.

A note from the founder

I'm Randy Kopplin. Kopplin Direct is a one-person shop on purpose. When you call, you get me, not an account manager reading from a script.

You found this page because I mailed you a letter instead of sending another cold email. That's the whole idea: mail gets handled, read, and remembered.

I'll walk you through the math with your own numbers before you spend a dollar. If it doesn't pencil out for your brand, I'll tell you.

Questions

Straight answers.

What does a first test cost?

Printing and postage run roughly $600–800 per 1,000 postcards. Most first tests are 1,000 to 5,000 cards. We'll size it on the call.

What do you need from me?

A customer export (CSV) and the email you want to turn into a card. I handle list cleanup, design, printing, mailing and tracking.

How will I know if it worked?

Each card carries a QR code and offer code, so scans and orders trace back to the mailing.

Is my customer data safe?

Your list is used only to mail your cards. See the privacy policy.
